Who Does What?
Portland Shambhala Council
The Role of the Shambhala Council is to serve as the leadership body for the Shambhala Meditation Center of Portland and is responsible for the day-to-day running of the Shambhala Center. All positions with the exception of the Directors are volunteer. The Shambhala Council meets once a month and members are invited to offer input, feedback, present issues, proposals or updates. If you’re interested in adding an agenda item, or would like to attend a meeting, please email our Administrative Assistant.

Council Position Qualifications Include: At least 2 years of membership and practice within any Shambhala Center; Applicable skill sets and experience including ability to work collaboratively; Inspiration to work with leadership-as-path; Commitment to collective council work as well as administration of individual area.
