Shambhala Day Community Celebration
Sunday March 2nd, 2014
Shambhala Day marks the beginning of the New Year and is one of the most important observances in the Shambhala Buddhist community. Based on the traditional Tibetan New Year's celebration of Losar, the day is calculated astrologically to coincide with the annual lunar cycles.
On this day we express the richness of our spiritual and cultural heritage through conviviality, elegance and generosity.
Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche will give a live online address to the worldwide Shambhala community, including centers and groups from six continents and over thirty countries.
Please feel free to attend any part, or all of the day. Families and children are most welcome!
