Our Region

We are part of the Pacific Northwest Shambhala region which includes Shambhala centers and meditation groups in Oregon, Washington, Alaska, British Columbia, Alberta and the Northwest Territories. We collaborate and coordinate for special events when possible and gather together annually at our PNW Regional Congress. Members are welcome to travel to other centers for programs.

Outside Portland, you'll find Oregon meditation groups in Eugene and Snake River. The Snake River group sits with an inmate population at a prison there. Please email the Snake River sangha three weeks in advance of visiting to allow time for background checks.

In Washington you'll find centers in Seattle and Bellingham. In Alaska there is a center in Juneau. In British Columbia there are center's and groups in Vancouver, Victoria, Nelson, Kamloops, Kelowna, and near Williams Lake. Alberta has a center in Edmonton and a meditation group in Calgary. And the Northwest Territories has a meditation group in Yellowknife.
