Registration Information

Please register on line whenever possible. At the door registrations are accepted only on a space available basis.

Your registration is complete when we receive your payment. Forms of payment accepted include: Visa, MC, Discover, Amex and direct bank account debits.

You may also mail a check to our registrar. Make the check out to Portland Shambhala Center and include a note with the name of class for which you are registering, your email address and phone number. When your check is received you will be sent an email confirming your registration. Send the check and information to:

Entering a program after it has started by special pre-approval only. Contact the Registrar for how to proceed.

Generosity Policy

The Portland Shambhala Center is a non-profit organization supported entirely by the generosity of it's members, program participants, the energy of its many volunteers and its donors.

Our program tuitions are set at a level needed to support the Center. However, it is our commitment that no one be prevented from participating in our programs due to financial constraints.

Please help us continue to bring these teachings to the world by offering the most you can afford. If you have the means to help offset the cost of another's fee, we graciously encourage you to offer a higher tuition for a program. By being generous in this way you join us in offering these teachings to everyone regardless of their ability to pay the full tuition.

If the tuition for a program presents an obstacle to your participation, we trust your judgment; for most programs, you may offer whatever level of tuition is workable for your situation. Contact our Registrar, Abbey Pleviak, prior to the start day of the program to pre-arrange a tuition that will allow you to attend.

Discounts

Discounts are provided as a separate program from our generosity policy and are not combined.

• Member Discount: 15% discount for monthly dues paying members on most programs.
• Series Discount: 15% discount for Way of Shambhala classes when purchased as a series (This discount may be combined with Member discount)
• Repeat Program Discount: 50% when attending a program previously completed

Work-Study Program

As of September 20, 2009, our Generosity Policy now replaces our previous Work-Study Program.

Cancellation Policy

For most programs, full payment refunds are offered if we receive your cancellation no later than 24 hrs prior to the program start time. There will be no refunds after this time, however you are welcome to transfer your tuition to a future program. To cancel your registration, contact the Registrar.
