 Members Educational Scholarships
We maintain two scholarship funds available to members of the Portland Shambhala Center - one is for student development and the other is for teacher development.
The Irene Lundquist Memorial Student Scholarship Fund is a needs based student scholarship fund for community members to deepen their study by attending major programs such as dathun and seminary. Is was established at the request of Irene's family who provided the seed money for it following her death.

The Portland Shambhala Teacher’s Scholarship Fund exists for the purpose of developing local teachers’ capacity to present dharma. It was established to help enable active, committed community members with financial constraints to attend Shambhala based teacher training programs. This may include such things as attendance at Shambhala Teacher Academies and Teacher Training, training for Assistant Directors, Guides and Meditation Instructors as well as other teacher related training.
