Basic Goodness III Haikus
The “Basic Goodness III, Basic Goodness of Reality: What is Real?” class just finished up our fourth meeting. Last week, we were given the instruction by one of our teachers, David Parker, to wander about the center and find a few things that strike us and write a haiku on them. Afterwards, a few people felt inspired to share their haikus with me so that I could post them here for the wider community to see. Here they are:
Licorice in a glass,
just in case some attachment,
is the only salve
-Michael McCormick
The car accelerates,
I stop
I take seven steps
The world takes five hundred more,
When will I catch up?
-John Light
Thwarting pattern,
The grains flow like waves
into unexpected places
-Corey Adkins
Tires whiz in the dark
Meditators keep sitting.
Where are they going?
-Ann Sihler
