Open House: Taking Refuge in the Three Jewels

    In taking the Refuge Vow, one aligns oneself with the three jewesl of Buddha as teacher, dharma as teachings, and sangha as community. What does this mean? Come for an informative talk given by one of our senior teachers!

    Our bi-monthly Open House, on the 2nd & 4th Tuesday,  offers a friendly introduction to meditation practice, Shambhala Buddhist teachings and our community. Everyone is welcome. Participation is free of charge.

    8:00 PM: Dharma Talk, or Dharma Video, and Discussion

    A Senior Teacher will talk present introductory teachings in a short talk-and-discussion format; or there will be a short video of Dharma teaching by either our founder, Trungpa Rinpoche, our current lineage holder, Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche, or Acharya Pema Chodron.

    8:30 PM: Tea & Social

    Participants can connect with others who share their curiosity and interest.

    Rayna Jacobson has been a member of the Shambhala community since 1976, and enjoys sharing her understanding of the dharma with others. Her most current interest is cooking!
