Mamos Practice - Free and Open to All

Please plan to arrive on time and stay for the entire practice

At the end of each lunar calendar year, we enter a period when both personal and societal obstacles or negative forces are heightened. This time is referred to as “the Dön season”, which precedes Shambhala Day (the Tibetan New Year's celebration).

During this time the community is strongly encouraged to intensify personal practice and engage in a group practice in which the "Pacifying the Turmoil of the Mamos" chant is recited.

Typically a Vajrayana practice, this elaborate Protector offering is opened to everyone only at this time. The practice helps to pacify personal, social, and environmental chaos that accumulates at year’s end. By reciting the chant, we tune into the protector principle of awareness and reconnect with sacred outlook.

All Center Members are especially invited to join this group practice!
