Lisa Stanley teaching people to sit still 5 minutes a day
December 9, 2013
Recently, Lisa Stanley was interviewed by Jenn Sturiale, a writer for Time Warner, for two articles on Upwave, a new health-related website with a twist. In one interview, Lisa talked about two related topics, which ended up in two pieces:
- In one article Lisa talked about meditation as “a way for people to slow down. Many of us are living a speedy lifestyle… I hear from people that just finding time to sit down and slow down and actually be present with themselves… that alone is incredibly helpful.”
- In another article Lisa said, “I think our culture is really built around how we can go faster and faster. [It’s important] to just be with yourself, slow down enough to know what you’re experiencing, to notice the stress in your body or how you’re feeling in a given moment.”
